Legal Question in Immigration Law in Connecticut

My boyfriend lives in London and i live in CT. We have been long distance for year now and are tired of saying goodbye and being apart...we are ready to take the next step and live together here in the U.S. We are totally clueless and would like to know what steps we need to take to get him here and able to work.

There are at least three different ways to handle the situation. The choice is obviously yours and your fiance's. The choice primarily depends on where and when you want to be married and how risk adverse you are as a couple. Feel free to give us a call. Conference calling works best so we can address both of your concerns simultaneously. Cheers!

If you are a US citizen, you may file an immigrant petition for him after you get married, or, you may file a fiance petition if you meet the requirements.

We suggest you to consult with an immigration attorney to discuss which option is best for you.
