Legal Question in Immigration Law in Connecticut
I had a deportation case open before i got married, i never got deported thou, the case is close in court but remain open in immigration offices, ( i tried to go to Canada with a USA tourist visa, trying to request asylum they revoked my visa because they said I lied at the border saying I was in vacations, since then I have been illegal), I have been married for almost a year and I havent get any work permit or s.s. number and my lawyer said i'm not allowed to get one but people that are in similar situation tell me different I just wanna know what is the true about that ? thank you
