I have just been sent an invoice to pay for the visa processing and affidavit of support for myself and son. we reside in the UK but my husband live and work in the USA. What is the next step in the process and how much my husband need to earn for the both of us to qualify - he also has 2 other children (14/18 of age) they don't live with him. I owned my own property in the UK but husband lives in a rented accommodation..can you please advise

Dear Inquirer:

You must send the fee bill to the National Visa Center in order to continue the immigrant visa process. If your husband claims the other children on his tax returns, then he will need to establish thaat his income and/or assets meets or exceeds the poverty guideline for a family of 5, which is approximately $27,000 per year. Follow the instructions on the I-864 affidavit of support form.
