Legal Question in Immigration Law in Connecticut
Hi, I am currently on H1B visa. I want to start a web designing business, which will be completely run by offshore team. I want to know if it is legal for me ( H1b Visa holder) to register a company(LLC). I have no intention of working in this company or retaining any income from the company. I will just be the owner of the company and will receive dividend if any.Is there anyway this can hamper my green card application. Please suggest what steps I should take to protect my legal status and my green card application.

Technically, this should not affect your H-1B or immigrant visa if you are not working for the company. I have no idea what the tax ramifications might be, so I suggest you consult with a CPA first.
