Legal Question in Immigration Law in Connecticut
I got a request for Initial Evidence (I-485)) it said that my sponsor need to submit his i-864. Even if a joint sponsor will be used, the sponsor/petitioner must submit proof of form i-864. I am asking why? The petitioner was not working until 3 months ago, that is why he has a joint sponsor. Shouldn't that be enough?

It doesn't matter if the Petitioner is unemployed, disabled, retired, etc.; s/he MUST submit an I-864.
