Legal Question in Insurance Law in Connecticut
insurace, automobile accident.
I got into an accident in CT this summer. The accident report was in my favor as the car had jumped in front of me and hit the brakes. The driver did not get out of the car until the cops arrived and provided the wrong information to the cops about insurance and other info. His insurance was taking such a long time to get confirmation and payment that I had the work done on my car by my own insurance. I am a single, college student barely making min. wage. I don;t ahve family to support or any other financial stability. The accident caused me so much stress and financial burden. I paid my deductible and now my insurance is taking their sweet time to give it back. They say that the other insurance needs more info from the driver who is supposedly missing or out of reach. The other insurance has accepted liability. Can i take legal action to get more than my deductible?. I am not only in debt, but now have a car that has a crash record and a credit debt as I paid the deductible on credit.

Re: insurace, automobile accident.
You are entitled to money damages which would put you in as good a position as you were in before the accident.
