Any trademark attorney will say a registration through WIPO under the Madrid Protocol has numerous benefits. The main one is being protected in each and every nation that signed the protocol with just one filing. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.

Although you may have trademark registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), USPTO registration does not enable international trademark enforcement outside of the U.S. borders. Therefore, only through a WIPO Madrid Protocol application or individual foreign applications, will you be able to enforce the protection of your trademark against infringing uses outside of the United States.
