Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut

Need to know possible consequence of breaking non-compete emplyee agreement

I signed a non-compete agreement with employer 2 years ago. Agreement forbids any solicitation or association with any clients for 1 year after termination of employment. I have been offered a job from another consultant company which wants to keep me engaged at same client location. This is essentailly against con-compete agreement. What are the possible legal consequences to me if I resign from current company and continue my assignement at client location under the emply of a different consultant company. Thanks!

Your current company can sue you are request an injunction that you not be permitted to begin working for the new company. Unless the judge finds that the non-compete is in violation of public policy the company would be successful.
