Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut
The corporation I work for has a travel policy that allows you to fly business class on a flight over 10 hours but the division I work for will not allow to save cost and makes us fly coach. Flights to Asia are vey difficult and flying in a coach seat is very difficult. Is this allowable if the corporation policy is business class?
1 Answer from Attorneys
What are the internal mechanisms for addressing policy issues? Who would have the authority within your company, based on extenuating circumstances, to make an accommodation to a decision made by your division? If there is someone within the division you could appeal to or if there is some health reason for needing such an accommodation due the duration of the flight, that might be the direction to go in.
