Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut

Federal law on mileage

What is the federal law on mileage in relation to cost per mile? I think the federal law states that the employer must pay $0.35 per mile, but I'm not sure.

Re: Federal law on mileage

I don't believe there is a federal law requiring any employer to pay mileage for an employee. This may be more of a tax question, than a labopr question. Mileage for work related purposes, as with any employee cost not reimbursed by an employer may be tax deductible. I emphasize MAY BE because I think this is more of a tax issue than a labor/employment issue (and I'm not a tax lawyer).
