Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut

hair salon chair rental

I have recently bought a hair salon where I have been renting a chair to the prievious owner of the shop. She rents the station only and refuses to clean out a good sized room in back which houses a lot of her families' things, bedding, etc. She has thrown a temper tantrum when I told her I really would like to be able to utilize that space, and her stuff will be removed by the 30th, and donated. After I had said this, she tells me if I want her to leave the salon, I will need to get a lawyer. I dont apprieciate the negitive attitude and have given her since May to remove her stuff, and now I would like her to go along with it! Can I just give her 2 weeks to get out? Or will I need her evicted, getting a lawyer involved?

Re: hair salon chair rental

Yes, it sounds like you will need to evict her. I would advise against removing her things as they are not your property. If you need further help, you can email me at [email protected].
