Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut

Heat Of The Moment

I was termintated from my job as a Loss Prevention Supervisor for making a ''heat of the moment'' decision which resulted in a criminal getting arrested and our merchandise being returned. I left the company's property (crossed the street) and grabbed the subject's backpack ( the company contested I physically stopped him). The company said I violated two rules enough to termintate me. I had a clean record for 3.5 years; no write ups, warnings , nothing. I contested a ''wilful misconduct'' claim by Unemployment, yet I am still being denied benefits. How can I get them to understand that my actions were in the ''heat of the moment'' and not wilfuly misconduct?

Re: Heat Of The Moment

I need to know more information. What were the violated rules? What are the details of this search and siezure type action? You may still be entitled to benefits.
