Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut
put in my 2 week notice with my employer. They let me go the same day. am i entitled to the 64 hours vacation time i have?

Generally, all employees must be paid for all time worked. However, vacation time, or leave time, is very different from wages. There is no law that requires employers to give employees time off for vacation, or personal leave. That means that this time is not considered a mandatory wage, but instead is considered a non-mandatory benefit given to you by your employer. Unfortunately this also means that there is no federal or state law that requires your employer to compensate you for your accumulated vacation time if you are terminated from your position. If your employment contract guarantees you payment for vacation time when you leave, or your employer regularly does this, then your contractually have a right to payment for this time. As stated you were terminated from your position. If you were fired for cause then you will not be paid leave or vacation time despite any contractual agreement.
There are a variety of factors that must be considered when answering this question.
