Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut
''Surveillance''
Can a large private company use a surveillance camera on their property in an area where you can expect resonable privacy, such as a restroom. Are they are allowed to put them in their to prevent employee theft and so on. If you do use a restroom and the plant is with camera's aren't you afforded privacy in a restroom? I understand they can have them on the plant floor, break room and maybe even a locker room (which might be questionable) But is a bathroom a legal place for a surveillance camera even though it is private property and a private company?

Re: ''Surveillance''
A company does have a right to conduct surveillance even in the rest area.
