In Connecticut, it may be illegal to be discharged for reporting violence in the workplace. It depends on several factors, including whether or not you were a government employee, whether or not your employer had a stated policy regarding reporting violence in the workplace, and other factors. If you reported it to an outside government agency, your deadline to file a suit could be as short as 90 days. You should contact an experienced lawyer right away.
