Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut
Eviction of bad tenant
I have a tenant who hasn't been paying his rent and is further more not a nice person. I am thinking of having my 250 pound bouncer brother and a friend give this guy a wake up call. Nothing bad or outright menancing but enough to let him know if he doesn't pay up he will exit the premises head first.
He is broke little ''ass-weasel'' so I know he won't sue me if I force my hand on him. He has dropped more dimes in Hartford on people than Michael Jordan did in his entire NBA career, so I know he won't tell because everyone knows he is nothing but a little snitch. Further more he knows that I know people so he won't dare come back in my direction. Should I proceed forward with my ''Italian'' eviction? Regardless of what you say I will do things my way!

Re: Eviction of bad tenant
This isn't the 70's and you are not John Gotti. If you attempt to "self evict" your tenant you are setting yourself up for a lawsuit, regardless of who you are and what year it is. He doesn't need to sue either, he can simply call the police and press charges in the event an incident occurs. To avoid these problems, simply start an eviction process to get him out of your home. This will limit your liability. If you need help, you can email me at [email protected].
