Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut
I have a tenant with a lease expring 8/31/11. If someone is interested in buying my condo unit would they be able to ask the tenant to leave with sufficant notice or do they have to wait until the lease expires.

I haven't seen the lease so I don't know if there are any clauses that may allow you to break the lease. Nevertheless, unless the tenant agrees to termination of the lease in advance, the new owners would have to honor the lease, otherwise, compensate the tenant accordingly.
