Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut

hi i have a one year lease thats due to end in april i am the co signer on the lease me and my friend are no longer on speaking terms and i am in the process of moving out soon. i want to know if i can get my name off the lease without any penlties against me. i am not looking for any security deposits back i just want my name taken off the lease is that possible?
