what is the statute of limitations for a medical malpractice which caused serious injury?

The statute is two years if the problem was known and three years if you did not discover the problem in the first two years.

In DC it its generally 3 years from the negligent act, however there are ways that this time limit can be extended if need, be as for example when the patient did not realize for some time that they had been injured by the doctor's negligence
