Dog bite premises liability
I work in a retail store in a mall and the mall policy states that pets are not allowed in stores. My district director made me aware that a customer complained that we told her she could not have her dog in the store and that we should be allowing small dogs that could be held in the store. Here's my question then, could we be sued for discriminating against people who have larger dogs that we don't allow in the store and if one of the dogs that someone brought in bit someone, would we be liable for not providing a pet-free environment? Thanks in advance for your help regarding these questions.

You can't be sued (successfully) for dog discrimination.
You can be sued if you allow a customer to have a dog in the store and the dog bites someone. The no dog policy of the mall only makes the case against the store stronger.
