Injured Knee at a Homeowners picnic

I hyperextended my knee, probably resulting in an ACL tear, or other ligament damage that will be determined on May 27 by MRI. This same knee had surgery 2 years ago. The current injury was done playing backyard volleyball, on uneven ground at an invited picnic. The knee collapsed backward, with an audible pop, that other heard. I stated to the owner that I am leaving for the hospital and he just said ''okay'', see ya later.

What is the homeowners responsiblilty, and my rights to medical coverage and compensation for lost work?

What dangerous conditions existed in the backyard, unlike the average backyard? If there were such conditions, were they such that the owner was notified or should have been on notice that such dangerous conditions existed? Backyards are not necessarily golf greens and playing volleyball, a vigorous sport, entails major athletic moves, any strange landing could have caused your ACL tear. Not a case many lawyers would find worth the time of a lawsuit.
