Legal Question in Personal Injury in Connecticut

Injury

A freind of mine (20yo) and I (22yo) were sparring (martial arts with pads) on our own time, he blocked incorectly and as a fluke a light kick ended in him having a fractured arm. his parents are now claiming they can make me pay the 1000 dolar bill that exceded their insurence for him. do they have a case. .... other posibly pertinent info (he is a dependant living under their roof)(it took place at a public playground)

I believe you have a good defense in "mutual combat" and "assumption of risk". It is unlikely they can hold you responsible. 203.521.4915
