Legal Question in Personal Injury in Connecticut
Should I get a new lawyer?
I was in a car accident a year ago(2002). I was a passinger in a car and both of us were seat belted. Another drive hit our car on the passenger side and caused our car to roll over. I sustained a concusion and now have knee, shoulder problems along with bulging disks in my L-4 and L-5. And now am labled 5% disabled in my back. 7% in my knee and 4% in my shoulder. I was 21 years old at the time. Everything legally was noted that it was not our fault. I was in a car accident in 1998 where I did recieve treatment from a Chiropractor but did not have any injuries to my L-4 or L-5. The drivers insurance company is now arguing the 1998 accident caused the back problems. This is not true. There is documentaion stating I was released with no problems. Where as now from this 2002 car accident I have. My lawyer asked me what I expect to get and I told him 50,000 he laughed and said ''no way''. None of this is my fault should I get another lawyer? Is 50,000 to much?

Re: Should I get a new lawyer?
Your present attorney is probably the best judge of what your case is worth. It does appear you have a number of permanancies but there is a lot more than that that goes into it. Juries are very very stingy these days. I would be happy to give you a no obligation second opinion at no cost to you, just set up a time to come in. 860-527-2245.
