Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut
Claiming ''Unknown Owner'' Property
I live in Connecticut and have
discovered that the property that
abuts us has no known owner on
record for at least 50 years. No taxes
have been paid for at least that
amount of time. How can I claim
ownership of this property? Would it
be through Adverse Possession?

That's certainly one way to do it. How long have you lived next to it and have you used the property at all?
