Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

What is the format for correcting the land description in a deed (State of Connecticut)? Half of the land was legally transferred (and properly described) by deed; however, the original land description (for both halves as a whole) was kept for the half that was not transferred. The description for the half that was not transferred now needs to be corrected.

Is there an error in the original deed, or do you want to correct it only because one-half of the property is transferred? If there is no error, I'm not sure it is supposed to be corrected. If and when it gets transferred at a future date, only the portion that is available for transfer will be included on the new transferring deed.
