Home builders not living up to contract

My wife and I bought A newly constructed house from A building company on 2/2002.It was warrantied for 1 year.We have notified them many many times, both by phone and hand delivered lists, about the things that need fixing. These are not minor things. Our upper level floor is sinking badly, our high grade cabinets are spliting at the seams and my driveway is washed away just to mention A few.We have been igniored completly as if they thing we will get tired and go away.Is there anything I can do or must I seek an attorney and go to court??

Yes, there are things that you can do, but you should discuss this with the Attorney that handled your closing. The are statutory warantees that may be still in effect and there are contractual warrantees that may exist. I would speak to the attorney that did your closing or, if that attorney is unwilling to represent you in this case, seek another attorney. You can also file a complaint with the Department of Consumer Protection, but I would speak to an attorney first with all the paperwork you received at closing. Tom Noonan
