I would like to know wether a judgement lien expires in Connecticut. If so what is the time of its valid enforcement?

Re: Judgement Lien

Conn. Gen. Statutes sec. 52-598 says "no execution to enforce" a judgment for $$ damages can be issued after expiration of 20 years, and "no action based upon such a judgment may be instituted" after the expiration of 25 years. There aren't many cases on this, since most people try to execute on their judgments quickly, but I would say 20 years is your outside limit. (For Small Claims Court cases, it's 10 and 15 years).
