Lawsuit from a a Home Buyer

The couple who bought my home in 2005 is suing me for groundwater issues and repairs. I believe they were negligent and can't possibly win.

My question: When they lose this case, can I sue them to recover my attorney's fees?

I suspect you have not yet hired an attorney, otherwise she'd be happy to answer that question. The first place to look is at the sales documents. Usually they have attorney fees provisions. If the contract does not have an attorneys fees clause then there may be ways to win attorneys fees, or something toward attorneys fees, but in this case, probably not.
