Liquor Store with leased building

I have a buyer interested in buying my liquor store in Connecticut. He wants to buy it for the liquor license (no new licenses available for the town) and open a new store at a different location. I have 2 years left on the lease and the business is a corporation. If I sell the business and close my doors am I responsible for the balance of the lease?

If the question is "am I personally responsible", it depends on whether or not you personally guaranteed the lease, which I suspect you did. Unless there's a cancellation provision in the lease letting you off the hook if you close the business or something, you're stuck.
