notice to quit

I bought a foreclosure and the tenant that previously owned the property is still there. all the notice to quits that i find pertain to tenants with a lease. my situation is different. do i still use the same thing??

A judgment of foreclosure typically includes an order of possession, which is transferable to the purchaser. Were there tenants in the property prior to the judgment that were not identified?

Same papers, but he is referred to not as a tenant, but as a person with no right to possess or occupy.
