Does new owner have to honor my current lease?

I rent a condo in CT and signed a two year lease which ends May 2003. My landlord is selling the condo and during a visit by potential buyers, he made it sound like I would have to leave if the new owner decided to live there. The only clause in my lease that pertains to the selling of the condo says that after the sale, he will no longer be liable for any terms of the lease and the security deposit, which will be transferred to the new owner. My lease also says that it is binding between us and our respective successors, heirs, etc. Can I be ''evicted'' by my landlord or the new owner so that the sale can go through or does the new owner have to honor my lease until it expires?

Assuming yourlease contains the terms you describe and there's nothing in there permitting a change in terms in the event of sale of the unit, the new owner may not evict you. He might want to buy you out, but that's a matter of negotiation, not legal compulsion.
