I have small debt with the goverment, if i sell my house will the goverment take some of the profit.

That depends. Does the "government" have a lien against your house? No one can "take" any profit or anything of yours, for that matter, without notice. It's also referred to what we all know as "due process."
Therefore, if there is a lien against your property, you would be on notice of it by a recording on the land records.
You can go down to the town hall in the town where your house is and look up the chain of title of your property to see if there is a lien recorded. The clerk at the town hall most likely will help you. They are usually very helpful.
