Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut

title

In 1997 I put my fiance's name on title to my home to obtain a mortgage. We recently parted ways and he refuses to quit claim to me I have owned the house for 38 yrs and he's been on title for eight years. He claims he wants cash. He abandoned me and the property and left me with 16000.00 dollars of credit card debt . Even if I refinance and pay the credit card debt there is nothing left for himWhat are my options and is he legally responsible for anything while his name is on title
