Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Connecticut
Warranty deed to be recorded in the state of Connecticut, \ City of Meriden. The acknowedgment will be by a New York state Notory Public as the property owner resides and is domiciled in New York State. Any issues with that? Some states, such as Florida, would not recognize an CT attorney as a commissoner of the court, for acknowledsgemnts. etc. Does CT have any restrictions as to the acknowlegment on the deed for recording purposes?

CT is a signatory to the Uniform Acknowledgement Act, which provides for the types of acknowledgement it will recognize from other states. There's also a list of which other atates are signatories, from which you can discern which states will recognize a Commissioner of the Superior Court as an appropriate person to take acknowledgements.
