Legal Question in Traffic Law in Connecticut
Emergency vehicle (Firefighter) liability
My vehicle (driven by my wife) was stopped at a red traffic light. She heard a siren and pulled the car to the side of the road. When the fire engine (with the siren and lights on) passed her it hit the left side of my vehicle causing damage. Is a fire engine with sirens and lights on liable for damages!
Can you also indicate the Connecticut law and section relevant to the situation.
By the way I was told by my insurance company that they are not liable. Is this true?
I also don't know if ''traffic law'' is the right area of the law to ask about liability. 'insurance law may also be relevant?
