Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

What is the criteria in having an estate trustee removed?

My father died over 10 years ago and the trustee is my stepmothers brother. He is not handling the estate fairly and has been partial to 2 persons involved in the will. A sibling lived in the home for over 5 years not paying any type of rent untill we( my older brother and I ) requested a hearing and the probate judge ordered collection of rent and a signed lease. The trustee does not communicate with me at all. I am not consulted on any major changes that took effect. When I called the trustee to ask questions when I found out the house was put up for sale, he was rude and claimed I had no interest in the estate. I and my other siblings are remainderents in my fathers will. As far as I know that is an interest in the property. My stepmother has life use of the property. Myself and another sibling want to request that the current trustee be removed due to not being impartial and showing favoritism .
