Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut
My Dad died 12 years ago, and first my oldest brother got his ashes. Then his wife didn't want them so he passed them to my sister. She put him in the trunk of her car, and then gave them to me. I have had them for the better part of the 12 years. I want to do something with them, respectfully. I loved my Dad, and lived with him longer than they did. He had no will, but my Mom and him were legally married for 10 years. My question is, since I have had them for so long can I legally do what I see fit with them or do I need to come to a resolution with my siblings. Thank you

Do you siblings object to you doing something with the ashes? Maybe a memorial is in order? If not, I don't see why you couldn't do what you want with them.
