Estate Attorney arrested for Larceny
My father's estate attn. was arrested for larceny for embezzling funds from Clients acc. The case has been open for 14 yrs. The attn. did nothing to close it out. now we know why. There is a probate court hearing on aug. 14th. Is this something I should attend alone? can i possibly close out the estate myself, or is it too complicated of a process? is there any chance of getting the funds owed plus interest? is there anyway to have any fees applied against him? addtionally, what recourse do I have pertaning to a civil matter against this attn.?

Re: Estate Attorney arrested for Larceny
If the estate has been suffered damages as a result of the attorney's negligence, then you can recover from him. As to the probate court hearing, you can always request a continuance in order to find an attorney to help with the probate process. The judge should be sympathetic to your position.
