Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut
My father created a family trust (of which i am the sole beneficiary) to be enacted upon his passing. He passed away in 2010. Our entrusted family friend was made the executor of the trust because I am receiving SSDI for major depression and he did not feel comfortable with me being in control of the estate combined with trying to help me keep my SSDI benefits. I am now up for a lucrative job in the field i was in prior to the depression. If i get and take the job, I will be off of SSDI. I do not know the specifics of my trust... but in general, if the trust beneficiary is no longer receiving SSDI and is now gainfully employed, would they now be in control of their inheritance

I'd have to see the trust. It may have been set up specifically to protect the SSDI benefits. There may be a trap door to get you out of the trust, or not. Your father may have made it break proof.
