gifting

I have 70.000 in bank I have been wanting to gift my 4 adult children. but now am facing divorce.We have not filed yet, can I still do this without getting into trouble?

If the funds were accummulated during the marriage, they may be subject to distribution. A more complete analysis could be given only after further facts. The bottom line is, you may get into trouble if you simple attempt to get rid of the money knowing you are about to go through a divorce.
