Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

My grandmother pasted away in 2001 my aunt had power of attorney all the wayy to death. My grandmother passed away and from my grandmothers mouth I was told that she has lefted something for me and my brothers but when she pasted my aunt told us that there was nothing and no will. My questions are is there a way to find out if there was a will or how can I find out if what she is saying is true that there was no insurance or entitlements except for her?

You can go down to the probate court in the town where your grandmother lived and open an estate. You can ask to be appointed the administrator and then will be given papers to give you the authority to check on your grandmother's assets.
