Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

inheriting half of a property in Ct (other half is my sister) - probate is almost through - I want to transfer the title to my personal trust which was established 10 years ago in Ca - can I use the quit claim deed myself to do it and have it notarized at the bank and have it recorder at town hall? I can get the form off the net for Ct. - or do I need an attorney. I did the probate myself.

Once the property is distributed to you from the estate, you can transfer it by quit claim deed to whomever you wish, but in Connecticut a trust cannot hold title to real estate - title must be held by the trustee. You may also have gift tax issues.
