Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

My mother has passed away and she left her house in my name and she has a mortgage on it. Will I have to go shop for a new mortgage or can I keep hers and just switch the name of it over to mine?

If you keep paying the existing mortgage and don't tell the bank, the bank will probably do nothing. You don't have to get a new mortgage unless the bank insists, which they won't unless someone stops paying the bill. Do you need help with her estate?
