Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

If you are named in a will to recieve a given amount of money from the estate and the estate does have the money after the sale of the property---are you entitled to it even though the exeucator may say that they presently do not have the funds? I understand the funds will be available when the house and property is sold.

I really need more information to give you a good answer, however, usually the estate is distributed when the probate proceedings permit distribution. You can always go down to the probate court and speak to the clerk regarding when distribution may occur. If the funds will be available when the property is sold and there is enough to "go around" to the creditors and the beneficiaries, then you should receive something.
