Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

Probate issue

My 56 year old brother is on 100% psych disability from the Army. He is currently refusing all meds and any counseling. His landlord has given him until March 31st to vacate his apartment, because of his strange behavior. How can I help him when he refuses to acknowledge that he has a problem? He can't even keep straight what day it is, and he is giving away all of his money again. He is not violent, but he is loud and is not making much sense. How do I get him declared incompetent?

Re: Probate issue

You can apply to have an involuntary conservator appointed for him by the local probabe court for the town in which he lives. You might want to call the court to discuss this.
