Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut
Why would probate search for heirs of a written will, if they are not on the will, nor are their whereabouts known? Also, if I am left half of the estate, am I not at least suppose to know what half is? The executor has never told me what the assets were.

The executor is required to file an inventory within 2 months. The inventory will list all of the assets of the estate. I don't have enough information to comment on why the court has requested a search of any potential heirs and I don't know what the will says.
