Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

Will in Probate

My grandfather's will left all monies and profit from the sale of his home to be divided amongst the 7 great grandchildren, held in trust by the Executor, a close friend of his. As the parents/guardians of these children, are my sister and I entitled to be updated on the process of probate along the way? The house was for sale, the real estate office says it is under contract, but the Executor is not sharing any information. We also found out that updates/repairs were made to the home during the listing process that were paid for by the estate. Are we entitled to know how the estate's monies are being spent, or will be be entitled to see that information at some point?

Re: Will in Probate

The executor will have to file an accounting with the probate court that details all the expenditures, but he really doesn't have to keep you in the loop before then. Have you spoken to him about being kept informed?
