Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

In the last will and testament it says:

" I hereby specifically devise to my brother john umlauf of east haven, CT, all of the net proceeds still due to me and unpaid at the time of my death from the estate of david l. umlauf"

does this entitle john to the inheritance of the money from david's estate?

It entitles John to any amount from David's estate that had not been paid to him at the time of his death. If, for example, half of the amount due him had already been paid at the time of his death, that portion does not go to John, only the half still unpaid at his death.
