Why did I have to give my insurance when I'm on comp?
I have a herniated disc in my neck from a client at the group home I work in. I have been out for 2 months and my doctor has not released me to return. At my last Dr. appt they asked for my medical insurance so they can use that if WC denies me can they do that? Who would pay the co-pays?

If you injured yourself at work, the group home's workers' compensation insurance carrier should pay for all your medical treatment as long as it is from an authorized treater and is necesary for you to get better.
It seems as if the workers' compensation carrier has not accepted the case and that is why your doctor's office is asking for health care information.
