Legal Question in Workers Comp in Connecticut

Vocational Rehabilitation

I qualify for vocational rehabilitation here in Ct. after a lengthy 9 year injury to my spine. I ahve taken the GATBE test and was told that I can go to a 2 year assoctiate degree community college of my choice because of my high grades on the GATBE. However it seems that Gov. Rowland has laid off the workers that submit the paper work for vocational rehab ie. registration forms, acceptence forms from the college etc. Now this worker who is getting laid offf said that this means my schooling will not be paid and do not bother sending anything in. But the GATBE test is still bewing given and if the program has been pulled would that mean some law in the W/C law book for CT should be changed? I feel this worker just had some animosity over losing his job (understandibly) but with no regard for other people who were given this opportunity like myself. What can I do and has the program been pulled or just this one paticular employee?

Re: Vocational Rehabilitation

you should call and ask for the workers supervisor and ask these questions. I am sure that the entire dpt. has not been fired.
